Terms & Conditions

These terms are written to keep RideSOS safe, fair, privacy-first, and easy to accept for vehicle owners, scanners, partners, and service providers.

Important Notice

RideSOS supports faster communication during vehicle-related situations, but official emergency services should always be contacted directly during serious emergencies.

Signup Consent Summary

You agree that RideSOS may store your account, vehicle, emergency profile, emergency contact, payment, QR, scan, and alert records.

You agree that GPS location may be requested and shared with the owner during Vehicle Blocking, SOS, and other alert flows when permission is granted.

You understand RideSOS is not an official emergency service and cannot guarantee police, ambulance, hospital, owner, network, call, or message response.

You agree not to misuse QR alerts for spam, harassment, fake emergencies, unlawful tracking, fraud, or copying the RideSOS platform.

1. Acceptance Of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, activating a QR sticker, scanning a RideSOS QR code, or using any RideSOS feature, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use RideSOS services.

2. Service Purpose

RideSOS provides QR-based vehicle assistance tools for parking alerts, owner notifications, emergency SOS actions, lost and found communication, scan history, and subscription-based QR sticker activation.

RideSOS is a communication and assistance platform. It does not replace police, ambulance, hospital, fire, roadside, insurance, or any other official emergency service.

3. User Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate vehicle details, contact information, emergency contacts, medical notes, and subscription information.

Users are responsible for keeping their account information updated and for ensuring that emergency contacts have agreed to be listed.

Users must not upload, submit, display, or share false, misleading, illegal, abusive, defamatory, obscene, confidential, or unauthorized information.

4. Scanner Responsibilities

A person scanning a RideSOS QR code must use the available actions only for genuine parking, vehicle, safety, emergency, or lost and found reasons.

Misuse, repeated spam, harassment, false emergency reporting, or abusive communication is prohibited and may result in blocking, reporting, or legal action.

5. Emergency And Safety Disclaimer

RideSOS helps people communicate faster, but it cannot guarantee emergency response, owner response, hospital response, network availability, GPS accuracy, message delivery, call completion, or outcome in any emergency.

In serious emergencies, users and scanners should immediately contact local emergency numbers, police, ambulance, fire services, hospitals, or other appropriate authorities.

RideSOS may unlock call buttons after emergency verification, but phone numbers may remain visually hidden to protect privacy.

6. Privacy-First Communication

RideSOS is designed to avoid publicly displaying owner phone numbers and emergency contact numbers on scanner-facing pages unless a verified emergency flow requires direct calling.

Scanner location may be captured with browser permission and shared with the owner during certain alerts such as Vehicle Blocking or Emergency SOS.

By creating an account, users consent to RideSOS processing vehicle details, emergency profile details, emergency contacts, QR scan metadata, alert reason, and permitted location data for safety, communication, fraud prevention, and service operation.

Users understand that QR emergency pages are publicly accessible by anyone who scans a valid active sticker.

7. Plans, Payments, Renewal, And QR Activation

QR stickers activate only after successful payment for an eligible RideSOS plan.

Each plan has its own duration, sticker limit, and features. If a subscription expires, related QR stickers may become inactive until renewal.

Payments, renewals, failed payments, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may be handled according to the payment provider rules and RideSOS business policy.

8. Compliance With Laws And Third-Party Rights

Users must use RideSOS in compliance with applicable laws, traffic rules, privacy laws, cyber laws, payment rules, telecom rules, intellectual property laws, and lawful directions from authorities.

Users must not use RideSOS to impersonate another person, misuse a company name, misuse a vehicle identity, violate private property rules, or interfere with government, police, hospital, company, residential society, parking, or security operations.

RideSOS may cooperate with lawful requests from government authorities, courts, police, payment providers, telecom providers, hosting providers, or other authorized entities where legally required.

9. Prohibited Activities

You must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, clone, overload, attack, bypass security, misuse APIs, automate spam, create fake scans, create fake emergency events, or interfere with RideSOS systems.

You must not use RideSOS for illegal surveillance, stalking, harassment, extortion, fraud, public shaming, unauthorized tracking, or any unlawful activity.

RideSOS may suspend, restrict, or remove access if misuse, fraud, security risk, legal risk, payment failure, or policy violation is detected.

10. Copyright, Trademark, And Intellectual Property

RideSOS, its name, logo, UI design, dashboard design, QR sticker concept, page layouts, source code, database structure, text, graphics, workflows, alert templates, pricing presentation, and related materials are owned by RideSOS or its lawful owner unless otherwise stated.

No person, company, agency, competitor, vendor, or user may copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publish, mirror, clone, white-label, reverse engineer, or create derivative versions of RideSOS without prior written permission.

All unauthorized copying, imitation, commercial reuse, source-code reuse, brand misuse, design copying, or confusingly similar service creation is strictly prohibited and may lead to takedown requests, account termination, damages, and legal action.

11. Third-Party Services

RideSOS may rely on third-party services for hosting, database storage, payments, messaging, maps, browsers, device location, telecom, and analytics.

RideSOS is not responsible for outages, delays, policy changes, pricing changes, blocked messages, failed payments, inaccurate maps, device limitations, or service interruptions caused by third-party providers.

12. Limitation Of Liability

RideSOS is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideSOS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, business, reputational, financial, vehicle-related, medical, emergency, or safety-related losses.

RideSOS does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, message delivery, call completion, scan accuracy, GPS accuracy, or successful emergency response.

13. Indemnity

You agree to protect and indemnify RideSOS, its owner, team, partners, vendors, and service providers from claims, losses, damages, penalties, disputes, costs, or legal expenses arising from your misuse, inaccurate information, unlawful activity, violation of these terms, or violation of another person’s rights.

14. Takedown, Complaints, And Abuse Reports

If any person, company, authority, or rights holder believes that content, vehicle information, branding, contact details, or QR use on RideSOS is unauthorized or objectionable, they may contact RideSOS with details and supporting proof.

RideSOS may review, restrict, edit, suspend, or remove content or accounts where required for safety, compliance, privacy, intellectual property, or legal reasons.

15. Changes To Terms

RideSOS may update these terms from time to time for product, safety, legal, compliance, or business reasons.

Continued use of RideSOS after changes means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India, unless a different jurisdiction is required by applicable law.

Any dispute should first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith communication with RideSOS before formal proceedings are started.
