How QR Works

A scanner opens a RideSOS page, chooses a reason, and sends a private alert. Owner phone numbers are not shown on normal scan pages.

Phone Privacy

Owner and emergency contact numbers stay hidden from public view. Verified SOS uses direct call links only when safety requires fast calling.

Location Consent

GPS is requested by the browser. Vehicle Blocking and SOS can share a Google Maps link with the owner only when permission is granted.

Emergency Disclaimer

RideSOS helps communication but does not replace police, ambulance, fire, hospital, insurance, or official emergency services.

Fast Response

Owners receive private alerts and quick-response links, while scanners can see owner replies on the emergency page.

Abuse Protection

Rate limits, scan logs, hidden phone numbers, and admin controls help reduce spam, fake emergencies, and misuse.
